The mission of Detroit Marriage Movement is to promote the generational prosperity of Detroit families. 

Vision

Our vison is major cities that are clean, safe, healthy, and prosperous; that attract talented families and investors from across the nation; that serve as global models for economic prosperity across racial lines; and where healthy relationships and financial decisions of adults are driven by aspirations of and for future generations. We believe Detroit can achieve:

1. Zero preventable infant deaths

2. 100% high school graduation rates and

3. $150 million in generational wealth

Values

• Justice Health and wealth disparities are the effect of systemic exclusion and exploitation over time. They must be addressed through equitable and reparative means.

• Self Determination Communities experiencing disparities must widely adopt the best practices of from their history and culture to radically improve their own success odds.

• Future Focus To achieve generational prosperity, social, economic, and cultural decisions of current generations must be informed by aspirations and possibilities for future generations.
