This opportunity may be for you. Earn up to $400 joining the most rewarding brotherhood of your life this August while learning to navigate pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood with confidence and power. This Birth Fathers Detroit Fellowship is made possible through partnerships with Detroit Marriage Movement, Centers for Family Development, Southeast Michigan Perinatal Quality Improvement Coalition, and the State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. It brings together 12 fathers in a supportive environment to learn, grow, and thrive as leaders of your family and community.

What to Expect

• Eight 2-hour sessions where you’ll connect with other dads plus mentors who can support you on your journey.

• Information on important topics from self-care to advocating for your child and their mom to breastfeeding, bonding, safe sleep, and more.

What’s Included

• Stipend: Up to $400 for full participation in the program.

• Meals and Supplies: Provided during each session.

• Skills-building Sessions: Led by dynamic speakers, certified educators, and trained facilitators.

• Community Building: Opportunities to network with other dads and families.

What’s Expected of You

To make the most of this experience, participants are expected to:

1. Attend all 8 sessions (up to 2 1/2 hours each).

2. Actively participate in discussions, activities, and mentorship opportunities.

3. Engage your child’s mother in our supportive network to strengthen family connections.

4. Commit to growth, both as a father and a leader in your community.

5. Provide feedback to help improve the program and shape its future.
